The Town of Penetanguishene continues to monitor news and updates concerning COVID-19 in order to ensure we work to keep our community members safe. The following update provided on September 18th, 2020 is in addition to the updates provided from previous weeks located here.
Every year, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit works with local veterinarians to arrange low-cost rabies clinics for animals in our local area. These clinics occur in the fall and we encourage you to take advantage of them if your dog or cat was not vaccinated during a routine veterinary visit.
The Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department would like to inform residents/businesses that Superior Road Products will be applying a follow up preventative road maintenance treatment on the roads listed below on September 16 & 17, 2020. This second application is address deficiencies associated with the original treatment that occurred in July. This project will take approximately 2 days to complete, weather permitting.
The Town of Penetanguishene Roads Division will be performing the preparation, installation and restoration of a sidewalk on the south side of Robert Street West between Main Street up to 10 Robert Street West, starting Tuesday, September 15th,2020.
Town of Penetanguishene will hold an Electronic Public Meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m to discuss the following proposed zoning by-law amendments municipally known as: Z.A. 5/2020 - 38 Poyntz Street, Z.A. 6/2020 – 136 Fox Street and Z.A. 7/2020 – 17 Peel Street.
To ensure social distancing provisions are maintained, this meeting will be available for viewing on Rogers TV only as staff and members of Council will be participating in the meeting electronically. The open session portion of the meeting is posted on our YouTube Channel for viewing.

This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department to inform you that Clarence Avenue will be closed between Robert Street East and Brock Street, on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 between the hours of 7:00 am until the completion of the services installation.
The Town of Penetanguishene Recreation and Community Services Department would like to advise residents of works being completed to assist with drainage improvements around the Curling Club.
