Midhurst/January 28, 2020 – Starting February 3, 2020 curbside waste collection in the County of Simcoe is changing to garbage and recycling collection on alternating weeks, with green bin collection continuing weekly.

The Town of Penetanguishene has lowered the flags at Townhall to half-mast in honour of former Midland Mayor and Councillor George MacDonald who passed away over the weekend.
The Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department would like to advise that Anne Street, between Jeffery Street and Edward Street, will be closed today, January 24, 2020, due to an emergency utility repair. Local traffic will have single direction access provided, although please consult with staff on site prior to driving into the construction zone.

The Town of Penetanguishene Roads Division will be commencing snow removal operations along Main Street and the defined critical areas tonight, Wednesday, January 15th, 2020. These operations will be starting at 2:00 am and will create vehicle noise which may disturb residents in the affected areas.
