This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene to inform you that Robert Street East will be closed between Dufferin Street and Dunlop Street, and Lecarron Avenue will be closed between Robert Street East and Burke Street on Monday, June 7th, 2021 between the hours of 8:00 am until the project is completed.
The Public Works Administration Building direct phone line is currently down. While we work to resolve the issue, please phone Town Hall directly to be transferred to the Public Works Department, 705-549-7453. Alternatively, email contact information for the Public Works Department is outlined here. An update will be provided through this notice once phone lines have been reconnected.

(Penetanguishene) - In line with the end of the provincial Stay-at-Home Order, The Town of Penetanguishene will be reopening Town Hall, the Public Works Administration Building and the Penetanguishene Fire Hall to the public Thursday, June 3, 2021. Previously, these offices were operating by appointment only. In accordance with the Provincial Re-opening Plan, the Penetanguishene Centennial Museum will continue to remain closed to the public until Step 3 in the Roadmap to Re-opening Ontario.
Please be advised that Golf Link Road will be temporarily closed starting on June 14, 2021 for construction. The closure will last for approximately 4 weeks.
The Town of Penetanguishene will be ditching (a long, narrow excavation made in the ground to assist with draining or irrigating land) on Payette Drive starting the week of June 7th, 2021.
Flags on Town properties will be lowered to half-mast in honour of the 215 children found in a mass grave at a residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia.
