Coming together as a community to create a “Noise Explosion” at 4:00 p.m. on January 1st, 2021

There is no question that this year has affected each and every one of us in different ways.  Members of our community have reached out and asked Council for support in spreading hope, peace, and good health through a “Noise Explosion Celebration” on January 1st, 2021.

At 4PM we ask that everyone open their front doors, wave to their neighbours and ring in the new year by using whatever you have on-hand to make some noise – be it a cheer, a musical instrument, banging pots and pans, or singing a song.

This 5-minute “Noise Explosion Celebration” will be a way to connect as a community and show our support for one another.

Some of our local churches will also be ringing their bells for the duration of the celebration and Members of the Penetanguishene Fire Department and Southern Georgian Bay O.P.P. will endeavor to show their support by flashing their lights and/or sounding their sirens at this time – So please don’t be alarmed!
