Welcome to the Town of Penetanguishene 55+ Centre

The Town of Penetanguishene is proud to offer a dedicated 55+ Centre, located within the Memorial Community Centre. This vibrant hub provides older adults with expanded recreation programming designed to meet the needs of an active and evolving community.

With a low-cost membership, participants gain access to a wide range of inclusive and reduced-rate programs focused on physical wellness, social connection, and lifelong learning. The Centre also serves as a go-to resource for seniors seeking information, support, and meaningful ways to stay engaged.

Find us at the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre, 61 Maria Street, Penetanguishene, ON L9M 1L3.

Welcome Desk Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with some exceptions.

Programs occur at varied times and locations throughout town; see the activity schedule for details.

Membership and Fees

The current membership term is from September 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026 with a prorated fee of $17.50 + hst.

A 55+ Centre membership includes access to a wide variety of programs that support social connections, physical activity, and lifelong learning. As well as reduced rates on instructor-led classes and special workshops. It’s an affordable way to stay active, engaged, and connected with your community.

The following term will be from April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027.

To purchase a membership, please print, fill out, and return the registration form — or drop by in person at 61 Maria Street, Penetanguishene, ON L9M 1L3 on Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Our staff will be happy to help!

Affordable Access

The Town of Penetanguishene is committed to making recreation accessible for everyone. Through the Town’s Affordable Recreation Policy, low-income older adults may qualify for a free 55+ Centre membership.
