Water Interruption - Peel Street Reconstruction Project

The Town of Penetanguishene Water Department wishes to inform residents that maintenance will be performed on the water main as part of the Peel Street reconstruction project. To accommodate this work, water service will be temporarily shut off at 9:00 a.m. on June 18, 2026, for properties located on Peel Street between Brock Street and Simcoe Street, as well as on Brock Street between Levi Simon Trail and Fox Street.

Local traffic will continue to have access; however, residents are asked to follow all posted signage and directions provided by flag personnel during this time.

Once water service has been restored, you may notice slight discoloration in the water for a short period. To help clear your water lines, please remove any faucet screens (aerators) and run all taps for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. This will allow any air or sediment to be flushed from your plumbing system.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 705-549-7992.
