Waste Collection Impacts - Tuesday October 29, 2019

The County’s waste collection service provider, Waste Connections of Canada, is reporting that despite assistance from other service providers, a number of recycling collection routes in Ramara, Essa, and Midland were unmanned today.  In addition, Waste Connections has experienced a significant number of breakdowns today affecting one recycling route in Midland and three garbage/organics routes – one each in Midland, Penetanguishene and Tay. As we have prioritized the collection of garbage and organics, areas impacted for garbage/organics will be returned to tomorrow, Wednesday October 30th. One of the  service providers brought in to assist with recycling collection has also reported that they are unable to complete the recycling route assigned to them today in Tiny Township.  As this route has been impacted significantly in recent weeks, they will also be sent back to this area tomorrow, Wednesday October 30th
