Poyntz Street Closure Scheduled for October 1 for Watermain Repair

The Town of Penetanguishene, in partnership with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) and Charles Morden Construction, would like to advise residents and motorists of a temporary road closure on Poyntz Street between Gignac Drive and John Street on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m.

The closure is necessary to facilitate repairs to a watermain in the area.

Access for emergency services will be maintained via the east side of Poyntz Street. Please note that the Midland Penetanguishene Transit route will be detoured during this time, and passengers may experience minor delays.
