Official Opening of the Thompsons Road West Extension

The Town of Penetanguishene is pleased to announce the official opening of the Thompsons Road West extension between Main Street and St. Amant Road.

“This road extension will provide a vital transportation link for our residents and promote growth and development within the municipality for years to come”, said Mayor Doug Rawson.

To formally announce the opening of the road, Mayor Doug Rawson will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 7 at 12:00PM at the Main Street and Thompsons Road intersection. Members of the public are welcome to attend this milestone event.

The Town of Penetanguishene wishes to thank its Construction Services Contractor, Morden Construction, for their excellent work and cooperation throughout the Thompsons Road West Extension project.

Project funding for the Thompsons Road West Extension project was provided, in part, by the Federal Canada Community Building Fund program.
