Notice of Scheduled Park Maintenance/Closure: July 23rd, 2020
The Town of Penetanguishene Recreation and Community Services Department would like to advise residents that a section of Rotary Champlain Wendat Park will be closed on Thursday July 23 from approximately 10:00 am to 3:00 pm . Fisheries and Oceans Canada will be onsite to replace and upgrade 2 navigational aids in the park as well as complete location maintenance.
The work will involve the use of a helicopter and the clearing of brush. The closure is being implemented for public safety.
Temporary closure of the following park amenities will be required:
- Trans Canada Trail
- Skate Park
- Beach
- Washrooms
- Basketball Court
The area of the park that will be closed has been noted on the map below.
