NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DESIGNATE A PROPERTY OF CULTURAL HERITAGE VALUE OR INTEREST

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene
intends to designate the following nine (9) properties as being of cultural heritage value
or interest under section 29, Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990.

• 13 Fox Street;
• 13 Peel Street;
• 21 Peel Street;
• 26 Water Street;
• 27 Church Street;
• 47 Chatham Street;
• 50 Robert Street West;
• 58 Robert Street East; and
• 131 Main Street.

Cultural Heritage Evaluation Reports for each property, including a statement of cultural
heritage value and a description of heritage attributes, are available on the Town’s
website, connectpenetanguishene.ca/heritage-designation.


Right to Object
Any person, whether representing an organization or private interest(s), may object to the
proposed designations. Notice of objection must be received within thirty (30) days of this
notice (April 16, 2025) and must set out the reasons for the objection and be supported
by relevant facts. Objections may be served to the Clerk in writing by mail or by email
using the contact information below.
