Notice of Ice Water Response Training for Firefighters
The Town of Penetanguishene advises residents and visitors that the Penetanguishene Fire Department will be conducting ice water rescue training on the following dates:
- February 28, 2026
- March 1, 2026
- March 7, 2026
- March 8, 2026
- March 14, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Location: Bayport Marina
This training is a planned certification exercise designed to ensure our firefighters remain fully prepared for emergency ice and water rescue situations.
No Cause for Public Concern: You may see emergency vehicles, firefighters in specialized gear, and activity on or around the ice during these training sessions. There is no emergency taking place. Photos of previous training sessions have been attached for reference.
