Intent to Pass an Amended Procedure By-law

Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene intends to consider the passage of an amended Procedure By-law at its Regular Council Meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 7:00 p.m. at Council Chambers, Town Hall, 10 Robert Street West, Penetanguishene.  The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of Council’s intention and to invite interested parties to attend the meeting to hear Council’s decision on this matter.

The Procedure By-law governs the calling, place and proceedings of meetings of Council and Committees, including rules related to public notice, agendas, meeting conduct, delegations, motions, voting, closed meetings, electronic participation, and other procedural matters.

The proposed amended Procedure By-law will repeal and replace the Town’s current Procedure By-law 2023-50, in order to reflect current practices, procedural updates, and applicable statutory requirements.

Members of the public may view a marked version of the procedure by-law as well as a clean version.
