Flags Lowered in Honour of Ron Marchildon
The Town of Penetanguishene has lowered its flags to honour the life and legacy of Ron Marchildon, a dedicated community leader, retired Town of Penetanguishene employee, and lifelong supporter of local sport and recreation.
Ron served the Town with distinction for nearly three decades, beginning as the Recreation Coordinator in 1973 and later as the Director of Recreation, retiring in 2001. His passion for sport, particularly hockey, and his commitment to building strong community programs left a lasting mark on generations of residents. In recognition of his contributions, Ron was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
The Town extends its sincere condolences to Ron’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched through his years of service and involvement in our sporting community.
