Changes to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 now includes Community Recreational Facilities

Changes to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 has now expanded to include the following:

  • The Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre located at 61 Maria Street and the Curling Club located at 8 Owen Street are now “Smoke-Free Grounds and within 20 metres beyond the property lines.”
  • Further that vaping, cannabis and smoking are prohibited on the outdoor grounds of these facilities.

If you would like to register a complaint about someone smoking tobacco or cannabis or vaping in a location where smoking is banned, call Health Connection and a TEO will be assigned to investigate.
