A Message from our Fire Chief - COVID-19

Penetanguishene Fire and Emergency Services and the Midland Fire Department, like all emergency services, are working hard in our communities balancing response to those in need with current COVID-19 protocols. We appreciate your patience and understanding; all our actions are in aid of keeping your family safe and our firefighters healthy and able to respond.

  • First and foremost, our ability to respond to your 911 calls is unchanged.
  • We follow health protocols; please answer our basic COVID-19 screening questions.
  • We have ceased all public education activities; the office is taking calls if you have fire safety questions. Request for fire inspections will be reviewed on an individual case basis, immediate threat to life inspections will be conducted. What can you do to help? Ensure all your smoke detectors and CO alarms are in good working order to reduce false alarms. Ensure cooking is never left unattended, candles are used with caution, and that you have practised your home escape plan.

Together we can all keep our communities safe and healthy.

Paul Ryan,
Director of Emergency Services / Fire Chief / CEMC
