SIMCOE MUSKOKA – A class order under Section 22 of the Health Protection and Promotion Act has been issued by Simcoe Muskoka’s Medical Officer of Health (MOH) to enforce COVID-19 self-isolation requirements. The order took effect October 6, 2020 and remains in effect until the MOH declares it is no longer needed.
It is time to "raise some spirits!" This October, hop in the car with your family, friends or by yourself, and participate in a good old-fashioned ghost hunt.
October 2, 2020 - In consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, local medical officers of health and public health experts, the Ontario government is tightening public health measures. At the same time, in response to the second wave of COVID-19 and in preparation for the cold winter months, the government is taking action to reduce testing turnaround times while prioritizing those who are at the greatest risk.

In 2019 Accessible Pedestrian Signals were installed at the intersections along the Main Street to address the pre-existing crosswalks throughout the Town of Penetanguishene.
The Town of Penetanguishene requests the co-operation of all drivers of motor vehicles on all highways and municipal parking lots within the Town as required by By-law No.2012-23 as amended.
The Town of Penetanguishene Roads Division will be performing the preparation, installation and restoration of a sidewalk in front of 7 Poyntz Street, starting Tuesday, September 29th,2020.
