May 14th, 2020 - Today, the Ontario government announced that certain seasonal services, including public boat launches, may open for recreational use as early as Saturday May 16, 2020 at 12:01 a.m.
The Committee of Adjustment of the Town of Penetanguishene will hold an electronic public meeting on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to consider the following applications: 1) 2 Robert Street West, 2) 344 Watson Road and 3) 743 Overhead Bridge Road.
UPDATE June 15: The Culture Alliance, a joint culture committee for Beausoleil First Nation, Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay and Tiny has extended the application deadline to fill four At-Large committee positions. Complete the skills-based application form and submit it by Friday, June 26 at 12 p.m. to be considered. The Culture Alliance also has opportunities for those looking to join sub-committees.
The Town of Penetanguishene Roads Division, in conjunction with Claussen Farms and Morden Construction will be performing asphalt pulverization and grading, starting Wednesday, May 13 to Friday May 15, 2020, on the following streets.

The Town of Penetanguishene would like to share the attached News Release, on behalf of Alectra Utilities, announcing that they will be making donations to various United Way chapters in their service territory.
Phase 1 of the Multi Use Trail includes the installation and construction of the trail, retaining wall and box culvert within the County Road 93 right-of-way from Thompsons Drive to approximately 300 meters north of Vindin Street. Seeley and Arnill Construction plan to proceed with construction on May 4, 2020. The construction is anticipated to be completed by September 25, 2020.
The Penetanguishene Fire Department and Midland Fire Department are celebrating Emergency Preparedness Week from May 3-9, and is encouraging all residents in both municipalities to #PrepareYourSelfie for an emergency by making a plan, building a 72-hour emergency preparedness kit, and staying informed.
