Ontario Implements Provincewide Emergency Brake

TORONTO —The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, is imposing a provincewide emergency brake as a result of an alarming surge in case numbers and COVID-19 hospitalizations across the province. The provincewide emergency brake will be effective Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. and the government intends to keep this in place for at least four weeks.

County hosts virtual Public Information Centre to engage residents about transportation needs

Midhurst/March 25, 2021 – The County of Simcoe is hosting a virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) to support updates to our regional Transportation Master Plan (TMP). Input received from residents will help provide direction for the planning, coordination and implementation of a multi-municipal road and transit network, active transportation amenities (including bike lanes and trail networks), and commuter facilities for the next 30 years and beyond in Simcoe County.

Ontario Launching Provincial Booking System for COVID-19 Vaccines

The Ontario government is launching a provincial booking system and customer service desk to support COVID-19 vaccination appointment bookings. The portal is live today, Monday, March 15 and will be accepting appointment bookings at mass immunization clinics, starting with individuals aged 80 and older.
