PENETANGUISHENE, September —The Penetanguishene Centennial Museum & Archives is pleased to announce the arrival of Unmasking Influenza, a travelling exhibition that looks at the lasting impact of the influenza pandemic in Canada — and asks if we’re prepared for the next one.
The Town of Penetanguishene would like to inform residents that J. Hoover Ltd. will be completing repairs to the municipal sidewalk at the wharf, as well as remediation work to the associated shoreline due to erosion and high-water levels over recent years.
The Town of Penetanguishene would like to inform residents/businesses that Superior Road Products will be installing a preventative road maintenance treatment on Champlain Road (Military Road to the Town Limits) and Sandy Bay Road (between first and second entrance to Gilwood Park Drive) on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021. This project will take approximately 1 day to complete, weather permitting.

The Town of Penetanguishene is taking steps to create a more age-friendly community!
The Town of Penetanguishene would like to advise residents and businesses that a 90-day pumping test is planned at the Robert Street West Field – Well No. 2 located at 161 Robert Street West in the Town of Penetanguishene (see figure in PDF attachment). Testing is planned to commence in late August 2021. The testing is being conducted to update groundwater quality data for the well- field and is a follow up to a similar test completed in 2012.
This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene to inform you that the intersection of Burke Street and Fox Street will be closed on Thursday, August 26th and Friday, August 27th, 2021. The closure of this intersection is required for emergency watermain repairs, infrastructure upgrades and resurfacing of the intersection. Please see the attached Traffic Control Plan, labeled Intersection Closure, Fox and Burke.
