Community Design Standards

The Town of Penetanguishene has developed Community Development standards to guide future development within the Town.

The Town of Penetanguishene prides itself on ensuring that good urban design is a priority in all developments within the Town. Urban design is the art of shaping the interaction between people and places through arrangement, appearance and functions. It addresses the natural and built environments and influences the process that leads to successful Towns. Or, more succinctly, how buildings fit together to make quality space.
