Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment Board - Inaugural Meeting

The Town of Penetanguishene is pleased to announce the commencement of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment Board. The Detachment Board will be comprised of the Township of Georgian Bay, Township of Tay, Township of Tiny, Town of Midland and the Town of Penetanguishene. The Detachment Board will be responsible for the oversight of the O.P.P. Detachment Commander’s local action plan, preparing rules and procedures, creating by-laws, local policies, and board policies, and preparing board estimates and budget to Councils for board operations.

The Council of the Town of Penetanguishene has appointed Mayor Doug Rawson and community appointment Doug Taylor as the representatives for the Town of Penetanguishene. The Inaugural meeting will be held at 3:00PM on Monday January 27th, 2025 at Tay Township Council Chambers (450 Park St, Victoria Harbour, ON L0K 2A0). Meetings are open for the public to attend in the audience area.
