Notice of Maintenance to Cenotaph

This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene Recreation and Community Services Department in partnership with Branch 68 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Both parties are pleased to collaborate on the refurbishment of the space surrounding the Cenotaph with the assistance of a third-party contractor. The Cenotaph is an important feature within our parks, honouring those who have paid the greatest sacrifice for our freedoms.

On Tuesday October 8th, maintenance work will begin in Memorial Park to refresh the landscaping and garden area around the Cenotaph. The deteriorated metal fencing surrounding the gardens will be removed and replaced with landscaping stones. The work will take place over several days and is expected to be completed over a two-week period.
