Merry Christmas, Joyeux Noël, Joyous Kwanzaa, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays, Buon Natale! 

On behalf of our council, I wish you and those close to you the best health and happiness in 2024. 

As 2023 comes to a close, we look forward to new beginnings in 2024. We have so much to be proud of, and I am humbled to lead our council and this tremendous community. The unfortunate events we faced this year with multiple crises illustrated how resilient we are and how we come together to support one another as a community. For those most affected, know that our entire community stands beside you as we continue to adapt, learn and grow. 

As we move into 2024, there are so many opportunities. Through our council's commitment to working, collaborating and listening to you, we will deliver the best services in the best community. Our community is rich in history, and people come together. For generations, we have found meaningful opportunities to share with respect and a focus of togetherness for the betterment of the community we call home – Penetanguishene. 

As we celebrate this holiday season, reflect and celebrate our collective successes. At the same time, recognize that some within our community are less fortunate and may need some help, which could be as simple as being a listening ear, inviting to your holiday celebration, or donating to the local food bank or a charitable organization.
