Town of Penetanguishene Accepting Community Improvement Plan Applications
The Town of Penetanguishene is accepting applications under the Community
Improvement Plan (CIP) from March 1 to March 31. Town Council has allocated $60,000
to support a range of improvement projects that benefit the community. Eligible projects
can receive thousands of dollars in funding through various grant and loan programs.

Eligible residential improvement projects include energy efficiency upgrades (e.g. solar
panels, heat pumps, insulation) or creating new rental housing (e.g. basement
apartments, detached unit in the backyard).

Commercial properties located in Downtown Penetanguishene are also eligible for
funding including improvements to the building facade, signage, building and fire code
compliance, and landscaping.
