Ontario Declares Second Provincial Emergency to Address COVID-19 Crisis and Save Lives

TORONTO - In response to a doubling in COVID-19 cases over the past two weeks, the real and looming threat of the collapse of the province's hospital system and alarming risks posed to long-term care homes as a result of high COVID-19 transmission rates, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, is immediately declaring a second provincial emergency under s 7.0.1 (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMPCA).

Joint Virtual Presentation to Municipal Councils: Huronia Airport Report

On Monday, January 25, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., the Loomex Group will be making a joint virtual presentation to the Midland, Penetanguishene and Tiny Municipal Councils regarding a comprehensive business review of the Huronia Airport. No municipal business will be advanced. Subsequent reports on the matter will be presented to the individual Councils at their respective Council meetings for consideration.

Town of Penetanguishene Purchases Property at 51 Dunlop Street

(Penetanguishene) - The Town of Penetanguishene has finalized an Agreement to purchase a 13-acre property from the Simcoe County District School Board. The property is located at 51 Dunlop Street – the site of the former Penetanguishene Secondary School.
