This past week has seen some interesting weather pass through our area but even with the change in temperature a considerable amount of construction activity on the Main Street was seen as the project nears completion.
The Town of Penetanguishene requests the co-operation of all drivers of motor vehicles on all highways and municipal parking lots within the Town as required by By-law No.2012-23 as amended.
The Town of Penetanguishene is seeking proposal submissions from competent and qualified Proponents to conduct a complete Building Condition Assessment for sixteen (16) Town of Penetanguishene buildings.
The Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department will be receiving quotes to install a 400 kilowatt generator and automatic transfer switch at the Payette Pump Station.
The Town would like to notify residents that reconstruction of the courts at McGuire Park will commence the end of October/beginning of November.
It seems as though every week from here until the end of the project will have milestone moments to celebrate as this week saw the placement of base asphalt from the Thompson Road to Jeffery Street and surface course asphalt being placed from Simcoe Street/Water Street to Wolfe Street.
As a proactive measure, the Town would like to notify residents and businesses that JB Enterprises will be paving the top course of asphalt on the section of Main Street between Beck Boulevard and Simcoe Street/Water Street on Thursday October 11, 2018.
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Townhall, 10 Robert Street W., Penetanguishene, to pass a Zoning By-law amendment to remove a Holding “H” Symbol from the Zoning By-law Section 36 of the Planning Act R.S.O 1990 c.P.13.
