Events & Exhibits
The Town of Penetanguishene offers a few different options when it comes to beaches for enjoying the warm weather. Rotary Champlain Wendat Park and Huronia Park all offer sandy beaches, great swimming areas along with other amenities including playgrounds, pavilions, washrooms and much more. Accessible by foot or by car these beaches are a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.
2025 Exhibits
Penetanguishene 150th Exhibit
- Date: September 13th to December 12th
- Celebrating 150 years since Incorporation, this exhibit highlights the history of Penetanguishene from its Indigenous beginnings to its incorporation in 1875.
- Exhibit also includes a special section highlighting the festivities in 1975 when celebrating Penetanguishene's 100th Anniversary.
2025 Events
End of Summer Concert
- Date: Sunday, September 7th
- Time: 6PM to 8PM
- Dance the night away at the museum with the band Passport
- BBQ available while supplies last.
Penetanguishene 150th and Doors Open
- Date: Saturday, September 13
- Time: 10 AM to 4 PM
- Free Admission to Museum including Genealogy & History Research Centre.
- Walking tours at 10AM & 2PM
- Free BBQ celebrating Penetanguishene 150t Anniversary at 11AM to 2PM
- 150 Tree Give-away
Museum Tots Program
- Dates: September 24, October 8 and October 28
- Time: 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM
- Parents and Tots come on adventure with us during our Museum Tots program as we experience our senses through play, crafts, and activities this Fall!
- $5 per child (2-4 years of age)
- Pre-registration is required.
- Adult supervision is required.
Halloween Spooktacular
- Date: Saturday, October 25th
- Time: 10 AM to 12 PM
- Hallo
- $6 per child
- Pre-registration is required.
Paint Afternoon at the Museum
- Date: October 28th
- Time: 1 PM to 4 PM
- Paint the afternoon away with Lori Ewart at the museum!
- $50 per person, all supplies included.
- Pre-registration is required.
