Wye Marsh's Annual Fundraiser is online again this year, and we hope everyone will connect to help support conservation, stewardship and education at Wye Marsh! You can support Wye Marsh by dining at Dock Lunch, bidding in the Online Silent Auction, or purchasing tickets for the 50/50 Draw! Dine at Dock Lunch October 22 - 24, 2021 Enjoy a $25+hst special at the World Famous Dock Lunch, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Wye Marsh! Art in the Marsh: Watercolour Workshop at Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre

This is an introductory watercolour painting class, where participants will be inspired by nature to create their master pieces. Participants will learn the basics of this fluid and expressive medium, as well as composition and colour techniques, and other tips and tricks from local artist Lisa Harpell. Ideas and compositions will be relevant to artists of all skill levels. You need only bring your enthusiasm! Join Jason George with camera in hand to learn some tips, tricks and skills to master nature photography. Jason George will take you on a trip around the North America as he shares some of his best photographs and experiences with many of your favourite animals. He will share some tips and tricks about how he captures Canada’s animals with his camera. Jason will end his indoor presentation with a Q& A, plus a mini–Safari ‘Hunt’/eye training activity to help you find more animals on your outing. Then you will head out to the Marsh to put these tips and tricks into practice. Where: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre When: Saturday, October 30 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Art in the Marsh: Introduction to Stone Carving at Wye Marsh

Local Artist and Teacher Lisa Harpell will instruct an intro to stone carving! This is a unique opportunity to try something new. This is an introductory class for carving alabaster & soapstone. Using carving tools participants will create pendants and small sculptures. They will also learn how to finish and mount their masterpieces. No experience necessary. All materials are provided. Calling all Scouts & Guides! 🌿 Badge Days at Wye Marsh are the perfect opportunity for Guiders and Scouters to perfect or learn new skills towards their chosen badges! Our knowledgeable naturalists will lead participants during short programs that are designed to fulfil specific badge requirements for Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts. Programming will run from 10am-4pm. Pre-registration is required. Participants must register 2 weeks before Badge Day on November 20, (before November 6).
