Policing services in Penetanguishene are provided under contract by the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The Penetanguishene OPP Satellite Office is located at 10 Robert Street West, (behind the Town of Penetanguishene municipal office).
The relationship between the OPP and the Town is governed by the Town’s Police Services Board. Members of the board consist of Provincial Appointees, Municipal Appointees, Council Representatives, OPP Staff and Town Staff.
Fire permits can be purchased through the Municipal Office or Library.
